Excellent
First time to Osaka hotel in central area. Close to the Namba station. Breakfast was good. Hotel rooms are all small in Japan. But the the Red Roof plus was above small. Shower was clean. I would recommend to stay here if your in the area for good time and great foods.

Good
It was ok
Room was rather small for the price. It was near Namba train station and Dontobori which was exactly what I was looking for. What was outside is what was the thing that bothered me most.

Good stay at Red Roof
Comfortable room very centrally located. Near several subway lines and a four minute walk to Dotonburi. Room is smallish but that is expected in Japan. Wifi is good. Great walk-in shower. Excellent water pressure. Heated toilet seat. Toothbrushes, razor, and 2 water bottles provided free each day. The only negative would be no English language TV stations. I booked the cheapest room. Overall good value, especially for Japan.

Fair
Man at the front desk
On our first night, the bedding was a bit hot and we asked for a blanket. The man at the front desk (young guy with glasses) came up and rudely told up the hotel does not provide blankets. He was RUDE! Maybe he had a bad day with other customers but his attitude toward us turned our mood south for our visit to the city. The next day, we made the same request with another person at the front desk and he gladly offered us a blanket. Looks like not every Japanese in this hotel behave the same. Having this guy working at this hotel really hurts.
