Ideal for families
Great location if you want a holiday which can combine the culture of Rome with a little relaxation by a pool. Easy to travel into city centre- two stops on the train and depending which part of city centre 2+ stops on the metro. (Normally less than half hour). Each journey costing €1.50. Smart , clean hotel & pool. Spacious apartment for a family of 4. Unfortunately I cannot comment on the buffet breakfast due to an error with the booking through Hotels.com ( make sure you get your breakfast voucher emailed in advance, I forgot to chase it up & was told I'd have to pay for the breakfasts again, and claim the money back).

Trip to the Vatican
Went for the opening of the Year of Mercy in the Vatican. Concierge, during the day, was very serious in the beginning but once he got to know us he was very nice. Concierge at night was very friendly and nice. Hotel was very reasonably priced.

Good but not great!
After a tiring flight from Toronto we had to wait for a room to be available and took our own luggage to the locked luggage room, then to our room once available (about 1/2 hour). The room itself was clean, comfortable, modern. However, we were not told about a few things, such as one needs to leave the room key in the door, once inside, for the electricity to stay on. Also, they only change towels and bedsheets if your stay is 7 days or more. We were there for five nights. The hotel was not near the vatican , as advertised, and we took the public bus which was somewhat confusing and not easy to navigate. There was one restaurant next door, but didn't open until 7:30 at night. It was noisy and crowded. The area around the hotel is a bit rundown, but walkable. Nearby we found a good take out pizza place. Breakfast (not included) was good, but the same items daily. Staff were helpful but not friendly. When we had no tv reception and one of the lightbulbs blew, maintenance came right away. Pillows were really small. We would stay there again, but it would have been more enjoyable if the front desk had been more enjoyable.

OK hotel.
The rooms were comfortable but very noisy. We could hear neighbours walking and talking in the room above us and next door to us. It was as if they were in the room with us, that was how clear the noise was. We did not get much sleep. Breakfast was good. It was not near to the Vatican as stated. It was approximately 40 mins away. We had to take a train into the centre Termini and then a metro. It cost 55- 60 euros to travel from airport to hotel. Very expensive. However the staff were helpful in printing off our boarding pass for our flight out.
