Hotel Boutique Nazionale, Rome
Great location but we were put in a room next to the lobby, very loud, we couldn't sleep all night. we asked to be moved to a different room which was much better. If you are booking this hotel ask not to be put in room 15

Great hotel at a great price.
The guy behind the desk was awesome. He spoke fluent English. He also circled all the top sites and showed us how to get there and on which bus numbers. Breakfast was great and the coffee was really good. And they will bring it to your room! Location is within 15 minutes walking to most of the major sites.

Great price and location, but book your own taxi
This hotel was in a great, central location for Rome sightseeing, and yet, because the room faced an inward courtyard, there was very little city noise. The room was perfectly clean, and the bed was comfortable. The shower was, oddly, missing half of the enclosure, but it looked like it was on purpose? Only complaint was that, when we asked the desk staff to book us a taxi for the airport for early the next morning, he insisted on booking us with another service for 60 euro instead of the 48 euro official service. As we didn't know how to book one ourselves, and he was pressuring us to accept the one he chose or cancel, we took it. But we can't help but feel like he was passing business on to a friend at our expense.

2 night stay for 2
The hotel was less than 7 mins away from the Termini station in Rome. You could walk but my luggage was too heavy for too much of that. The hotelis on the 2nd floor and has a small elevator for your bags. Everything in Rome is hot and does not have air conditioning regularly. The hotel was very pretty and updated. The hotel clerk Alex was soo friendly and helpful. The room was perfect and would have been even better if the air conditioning was colder. The hotel is centrally located an dv we walked to the trevi fountain and plaza navona and also to the colosseum and roman forum. There is a bus stop at the end of the block (I recommend you use the bus system in rome) and a taxi stop directly across the street from the hotel. We used the taxi a lot when we grew tired or wanted to get to the room right away. We found it to be reasonably priced. The breakfast at the hotel consists of sliced meats and cheese with croissants and breads, and coffee or juice, and cereal. We had a great stay and the bed was comfy. I will definitely stay again.

Hotel Boutique Nazionale - wonderful location
This hotel was a WONDERFUL find for the Rome portion of our vacation. The staff was very friendly and welcoming on our arrival and throughout our stay. They had wonderful suggestions for dining near the hotel. This is indeed a "boutique" hotel with a limited number of rooms, but they made you feel like you were in a 3-4 star hotel with all the care and attention you would expect from the staff at a larger hotel. Being near the Republicca metro station and on the major bus lines means that you can get anywhere in Rome that you want to go. The only drawback was our "American expectation" for air conditioning. We are used to most hotels having AC going all the time, however, this hotel is obviously environmentally conscious and has the AC set so that you can turn it up when needed. This results in the room being warm when you arrive, but the AC is fairly quick to compensate and lower the room temp. The hotel also provides a light "continental" breakfast and was very flexible with their hours of starting the breakfast based on our schedule for getting out of the hotel early for all-day tours. Altogether, this was a most enjoyable stay and we are already planning our next trip to Rome and would like to stay here again when we do.
