Very small hotel, great neighborhood
My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay in Brussels; however, the photos of the hotel are misleading. I was expecting a small, but chic, lobby based on the photos with a cool bar in the lobby. The bar is actually next door, although it is connected to the hotel. There's actually no lobby at all - there's a small check-in desk down a narrow hallway. Although the hotel was difficult to find, the staff was very friendly and welcoming when I arrived. My husband and I stayed Sunday - Tuesday nights and the bar shown in the photos was closed on both Sunday and Monday, so we weren't able to enjoy it. Thankfully, the neighborhood is amazing and there were plenty of other cool bars nearby. Our stay was pleasant - and again, we very much enjoyed the location. I would stay in the hotel again, now that my expectations have been adjusted!

Wonderful boutique style hotel, super location.
Cute clean hotel throughout, super friendly staff that made sure we had an exceptional experience and a nice breakfast in the adjoining pub. They had fast WiFi, and a clean bath facilities. The bed was comfy. This place is easy walking to Grand Place and there are lots of restaurants and groceries nearby. I would definitely stay here again. Caution: the bath/shower and the bed are in the same room with no privacy separator between. If you aren’t comfortable showering in front of your traveling partner you might need to ask, or seek, for other arrangements. Note that the commode does has its own closed off little room.

The bars next door make for a rough night’s sleep with the blaring music until 4am, even during weeknights. On a positive note, the Grand Place is nearby, so that’s convenient.

Pros and cons of staying in the heart of it all
The pros and cons of staying downtown were borne during our stay. We were on the second floor facing the plaza. It was nice being in such a lively area within the tourist zone, but the partying until 4 a.m. due to Dutch celebrating the World Cup advancement to the semi-finals was very troublesome for sleep for our family. The room was modern and nice, but there is absolutely no privacy for the shower/bath. No partition or anything. Awkward. Friendly staff.
