Not a $261 dollar a night hotel, the need to update elevator and access, plus my room was really bad

Nice area
The front desk staff were very helpful. The old fashioned lift door is quite heavy to move.

It wasn't clear when I booked but this hotel is actually a bar and hotel called the Bier Baron, the bar taking up most of the first floor and basement. Many nights there were events at the bar such as comedy or burlesque shows. Our room was on the 4th floor so there was no noise from the bar. The room was good size, had a decent bed and was relatively clean if you aren't too picky. It's an interesting old building. You are close to DuPont circle, Georgetown, and two metro stops from the Capitol mall if you stay here. If you hang out at the bar they have a huge selection of beers and many on tap. Ask for a "dirty Stiegl." This hotel is paradise for a beer lover.

nice place
The position is not the best, close only to one metro station. There is no refrigerator in room and the breakfast is cheap but thara is a reason for this price. Good hotel for 2 night max.

Traditional.
Hotel registration could have been a bit more welcoming. Elevator needs upgrading.
