Not bad hotel considering the cost............
Rooms are somehow smelly and furniture was so old. I feel it's not bad to just to sleep in night.

Cheap with a high price
The only two things good about this place is the bar-restaurant and the room bathrooms which have hot water and shower stalls that do not pool water. The breakfast that is complimentary in most business hotels cost $5.00. Would have been better at McDonald's.

I was nervous because all of the reviews complained about the fact that there is a bar beneath the hotel, but we had a great stay! There are four floors to the hotel, and we stayed on the third. We couldn't hear anything from the bar. I imagine that if you were staying on the first or second floor, you might hear noise. Our room was very clean and the staff were extremely responsive. Our light wasn't working in the bathroom and they fixed it right away. There is air conditioning in each room which was amazing because of the heat in DC. It's also really close to the Dupont Circle metro. Overall it was a really wonderful stay at the Baron Hotel!

Would have been great ... w/ some customer service
I arrived hopeful, at about 1 am. There was a problem with the computer system at the front desk. The clerk was trying to fix it, but completely not bothered about the inconvenience it caused me. After over 30 min - it took about 65 minutes to remedy - I asked about paying through Hotels.com so I could access the room or leave credit card information. He could not be bothered, just said no. Another couple came back, showing me that I was not the only one being troubled by this issue. We eventually got in. The reason I am over it is because I was not charged or threatened for checking out two hours late. This is the minimum I would expect and the day staff was gracious and accomodating.
