Overall, a positive experience.
Overall, a pleasant experience. We used the hotel primarily as a place to sleep, and found our food elsewhere, since the menu was not too kind to those of a vegetarian bent. (I would have enjoyed coffee and croissant in the afternoon, but alas, it was no longer available.) Negatives: 1. We could have used a bar of soap. We hab to bring the grapefruit-scented liquid soap dispenser from the sink into the shower. 2. When we first arrived, I reported that the dimmer light installed above my side of the bed needed fixing. This was never done, over the three days of our stay. Positives: 1. The staff was thoroughly professional, and always anxious to please. 2. Although small, the room was clean and comfortable.

Cute and cozy
Very stylish but in just a few areas it is a bit impractical. I understand the attraction of the coffee/tea machine near the elevators, but was not particularly fond of not being able to just put on a kettle in the room. The desk area was too small to be useful, particularly with the abundance of snacks and drinks stocked upon the limited surface. I was not a fan of the red lighting right outside of my window, but at least the shutters could be drawn to block this.

Love the Zetter London!
The Zetter is a very fun, eclectic hotel with a wonderful staff. It's well located in Saint John's Square within two blocks to the tube and a charming 20 minute walk to Saint Paul's. There are other churches in the area as well as the famous Smithfield and Spitalfield Markets. Also, many gastro pubs in the area, among them the fabulous St. John Bar & Restaurant.

Stay at The Zetter.
This place is fantastic. I stayed in their "Room (Guest)". Yes, it was on the smaller side. But you really shouldn't be in your room much while in London unless you're doing work. And if you sit at a computer the entire time, its sufficient. It was perfect for my needs. (source: Engineer from San Francisco). Bed was comfortable. The fact that it was a double was quite alright - even at 6'0''. Comfortable pillows, rain shower, clean restroom, fantastic lighting, sliding and seemingly bullet-proof window shades and plaza views were great. The staff at Zetter was some of the best service I have seen at a hotel. They greeted me every time I entered and left the lobby, and they were available with a smile around-the-clock. Plenty of great pubs and restaurants in the local vicinity. I was there for 1.5 weeks and still didn't get to try them all; they all seemed worth trying. Crown Tavern around the corner had very kind bartenders and good beer. Fourteenth Colonie across the street had a friendly staff and great food and beer. A very nice gentleman at the Cafe Par served me a wonderfully prepared English style breakfast - even though I was looking for breakfast later than usual in London. I walked to Kennedy's of London for some splendid grilled fish. Even late night food down the street and around the corner at Tinseltown if you really need it. I would certainly stay here again.

Comfortable and charming hotel
Had a lovely couple of days at this Hotel wish it could have been longer, staff were very helpful and obliging, the room was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. Only slight problem was when I had a shower and came out to dry myself the steam from the shower set the fire alarm off but was soon rectified by the staff so no big deal!
