I came to Benalmádena looking for some quite time in the sun, in need to recharge after work, and not to be bothered by little things. Turned out that I got lucky with my last minute booking, the place was just great. Do not be alarmed by its proximity to the road, it’s not that busy, and getting to the beach takes 5min - via very nice family owned restaurant. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need incl beach towels, there’s enough storage space, the staff is very friendly, and the whole experience was just great. I didn’t order breakfast - why would you, having a giant supermarket within walking distance, but I did order airport transfers, which I recommend, as the price was reasonable, the car felt new and the driver was very friendly and polite. I spent almost a week between the apartment and the beach (a fiver for the sun lounger), and didn’t have any issues with the room.

The apartments are quite a strange environment, mixture of both residents and people staying with Artplatinum. We arrived early and they said the room was ready, which is great - but they then said we had to pay for early check in (which I have never heard of before). They charge for anything they can. They clean the rooms OK, we had to ask for new towels, they didn't do a great job of cleaning. The pool is filthy, with cockroaches and dead flies floating around, also freezing cold so we didn't used it. My sister got bird poo on her towel which was hanging out on the balcony, they were quite difficult about giving her a new towel... The surrounding area is average. A really nice restaurant called YUCAS nearby, otherwise you need to get a taxi somewhere. Which adds up. Beaches are nice nearby!
