Excellent Visit with Family
The stay was great! The rooms were clean and the location was right down the street from a soccer stadium (Lazio). Staff was friendly and helpful. I plan on going back!

Not in the city center but easy to get around
The hotel is close (within 10 min. of walk) to the Auditorium, and so it is a good choice for people attending events held in that facility. The neighborhood is usually quiet, but trucks will come in the midnight to collect garbage and make noise. It is not in the center of the city, but Tram No. 2 can take you to the Metro Station. It is also near a large bus station.

I will not recommend this hotel to anybody.
One of the front desk personnel (the dark colored one) was very rude. He was the one that checked us in. Did not give us an explanation why he had to photocopy our passports – other than just “for safety and hotel policy”. At some point, the third and fourth day of our stay, our room was not picked up and beds were not made. So we decided to empty the trash and took it downstairs to the front desk as I don’t want to leave it in the hallway. That same front desk personnel did not let me leave the trash to him, instead, he told me to take it outside pointing to the street trash bins. They never answer the phone the few times I called the front desk from our room for the same reason.

Beautiful place, off the beaten path
The Residence Sacconi is off the beaten path, but worth the extra walk or tram ride -- it's an affordable way to stay in a spacious apartment in a quiet, beautiful section of Rome. The staff is friendly and English-proficient, and to be honest, you could spend a lovely weekend just strolling the nearby park and dining in the delicious restaurants not far away. It's a bit removed from the standard tourist destinations, but you should consider it -- I had a very nice stay there.

Great space for an extended stay in Rome. Lot to park the car, and a nice 2-3 mile walk from the city center. We had our own little apartment to unwind at the end of each day with a bottle of wine, and a kitchenette and fridge to keep food for some meals.
