Air con not working on the sunny side of the building, very uncomfortable night. Room was absolutely boiling!! There was a fan provided but did very little unless positioned very close to you. One person in the room was therefore baking and bathed in sweat all night. Asked for additional fab and none was brought to room. Everything else was more than perfect, but this was a major issue. Staff very friendly, rooms were spotless, facilities were good.

Overnight stay
I thought this would be a good place to stay but unfortunately the location was really the only plus point. The room upon first glance looked ok, then I realised there was no remote control so called down, was told one would be brought up. That never happened so ended up going down to ask and I was given one missing the battery cover. Then it transpired the tv didn’t actually work opposite the bed so back down I went to be told there was nothing that could be done about the tv apart from emailing her manager for some compensation. Tried to sort the heating panel out as was way too hot in the room and upon leaving the room bumped into other guests saying they’d been told by reception that there was no heating/cooling in the building as the bill hadn’t been paid in a year. He said he thought he was being pranked and he’d also been told to complain to get 30% off his bill. Anyway overall the room was ok, but lights didn’t work, there was a light fitting missing by the bed and a random spin bike and yoga mat and weights under a cabinet like someone used the room when it was empty for a workout. It just feels like the rooms are left when something goes wrong in them. Such a shame really as I travel a lot and thought this would’ve been a good place to stay

Good
Very good breakfast options and an amazing view from the top floor restaurant. Staff at the restaurant were courteous and attentive. Receptionist when I arrived and checked in was ok. Pleasant enough but not helpful. Just gave me my room key. No information about the hotel, wifi or even where the lifts were to go to level 23. Room cleanliness generally good. Overall a satisfactory to good hotel.

Stylish but flawed
Great room . Terrible lifts considering room on 23rd floor and staying with 81year old mother who’d just come out of hospital with pneumonia. Only one lift stopped at our floor and that only appeared if someone sent it up from reception. Room card keys kept de activating . No information in room for contacting reception, room service , menus or what to do in the event of fire . Felt like no one had worked there for more than a day . Perfect location for wedding tho and great private function room with helpful staff in the restaurant, function area . Good food for wedding meal too .
