Hida-Takayama was an amazing area and great hotel
Hotel was great and had a large public bath. The bed was especially hard though, and they didnt have cups for the ice machine. A bit of a minus but overall, great stay. I found my time in Hida-Takayama enjoyable.

Friendly staff. Quiet environment. We booked 3 double rooms which was rather small and we requested for upgrade upon arrival. However, it was not available but the staff was kind to check availability for our 2nd night. Our 2nd night stay was more comfortable with larger space room. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.
