What a disappointment
We stayed in a two bedroom with our 8 month old son, 14 year old daughter and two of her friends. The major disappointment of the trip was that the two friends had $500 stolen from their backpacks that never left the room (we should have known better and put the cash in the safe). The money was literally buried in their backpacks not out in plain sight. Our daughter had $20 stolen that was sitting under her backpack, and I had a portable charger stolen from my purse. The front desk didn’t act shocked at all when we reported the incident. they were more concerned about why we had that much cash, what other things of value we had, can we get more cash, how much can we get...I felt like they were casing us to rob us again. I know we’ll never see the money again, and I know it’s our fault for trusting that the staff wouldn’t riffles through our belongings and steal, but I’ve traveled a lot and never had any issues like this. We have ants in our room, the front door wouldn’t deadbolt, the bathtub wouldn’t hold water, and good luck getting enough utensils or towels for the people staying in your room (seriously...I’ve never seen a hotel be so stingy with towels and forks. We had to beg room service). The beach is tiny and not usable due to the massive amounts of seaweed that smells terrible (like sulfur). Spent $200 on taxis to get to clean beach. Food isn’t terrible but it’s not good. There’s not a microwave in the room so sterilizing the baby bottles was a nightmare.

Fortaleza AlSol
Not recommended for the business traveler. Entering and leaving the property was an unpleasant adventure. Main gate is like crossing the border with all the nonsense questioning both ways.

horrible attitude of staff seems to be from GM
The horrible attitude and behavior of the front desk staff made this an awful experience. They were disrespectful, openly laughing at me, a guest, for having made my reservation just an hour or two before arriving. The man and woman staffing the front desk were openly contemptuous, and the cavalier service attitude of so many other staffers at this 'luxury' village indicates a lack of empathy and customer experience training coming from the top, from the GM, Maliek

Beautiful Property, But needs some love!
Beautiful Property, But needs some love! We stayed in a two bedroom! Beautiful space with your own plunge pool. There was a leak coming from the AC, other than that the suite is comfortable and spacious! Checked into a second hotel room - this time a one bedroom. Also really beautifu and spacious, comes with a balcony overlooking the pool. Very nice. The property is massive! Take the golf cart every chance you get! Staff is extremely nice and will definitely stay again. Rafael is the man! Cons: some dishes in the Dining room needed more soap!
