1 night stay as part of 10 day trip around Australia. This was BY FAR our favorite place we stayed during our entire trip. Stayed at the Westin in Brisbane the night after this stay because we had activities planned in Brisbane, but in hindsight, we wished we had stayed here a second night. Just incredible views. Great amenities. Full kitchen, laundry, great rooms and views you cannot beat. If we ever get back to Australia, we will definitely be staying here. Only minor inconvenience is the elevator waits. As it is mixed use and certain banks of elevators go to certain floors, the lines for elevators can back up. But don't let that dissuade you. You won't be disappointed staying at this property. Amazing.

The entrance, foyers, etc are beautiful, but the rooms are a bit tired and very dusty and worn looking. Housekeeping never did any dusting or dishes or even didn’t wipe the kitchen bench the whole 8 days we were there. We got heaps of towels and amenities which was great. Our aircon leaked and the safe locked itself, so had to call maintenance twice. Pool area and vibe around the pool is great, but again wasn’t the cleanest. Nothing looked wiped from one day to the next.

I can't think of anything bad to say about Soul Surfers. Although I can't think of anything good either. The customer facing staff are ok, the apartment is ok, and the hotel sells itself sitting on probably the best location in Surfers. Considering a typical weekend at this hotel costs between $1500 and $2500 depending on their price algorithm, there are signs of cost cutting everywhere, shower fossettes water flow is razor thin, the furniture is becoming outdated, and the queen beds aren't comfortable compared to other 5* establishments. Not to mention daily service consists of replenishing the towels and making the bed.
