Very friendly and comfortable accommodation.

The hotel room supplied needed complete refurbishment with the worst aspect being the most uncomfortable bed due to the decapitated mattress. Not fit for purpose. Hotel amenities were reasonable and staff pleasant but a complete refurbishment would make a big difference.

Excellent
I stayed here with my two sons in the family room which was excellent. Quite spacious. Very clean and nice decor. The hotel is opposite the Angel of the North so as soon as we had checked in we walked over to it, a five minute walk away. The hotel is very convenient for everything. We were very impressed and would definitely stay here again.

Poor quality mattress
Stayed in room 27 on Saturday the 28th July and the room was supposed to be a superior room. The bed was so uncomfortable I got up at 1.30am and drove home. Rang the manager Monday who said he would call me back. I'm still waiting

Set sail with the Angel
Everything about our stay was just right. Enjoyed the three meals we had there and the hand pulled ale was excellent. It is just a short walk to the Angel of the North which was very impressive. I remember some time ago the Newcastle fans put a shirt on it. I have no idea how they managed that, can only say well done lads. We were sailing from Newcastle and if we ever do again we will have no hesitation in staying here the previous night.
