LOVE this place!
I was pleasantly surprised by The Bowery House. For the price you get top rate service and pampering. The rooms are small and have no TVs but if you're in NY to enjoy the city, this place is perfect for sleeping, showering and meeting interesting people in the gorgeous lounge area. Elegantly decorated and extremely friendly and accommodating staff. And a big comfy robe for a hot shower at the end of the day! I'll definitely be back.

Fair for the price and location.
The place is clean. You get what you pay for. There are no surprises! You see exactly what the hotel shows(mentions) on their website.

Exteremely Noisy and Very Small Beds
I expected the private pods to have full-sized beds and to be sound prof, but the beds are about 1.7m long and there is no roof to the pods so sound travels a lot! Any alarms that go off (and there are about 30 people in the room all setting alarms) wakes everyone else up!! They should really sound-proof the pods so that one alarm doesn't wake up 30 people!

I love the Bowery House!
This is a budget hotel, a tiny step above a hostel. If you know that going in, you'll be delighted -- the place is clean, and the staff friendly, and the neighborhood can't be beat. This is the best, hands-down, place to go when you want a cheap spot to rest your head during a stay in Manhattan. I love the Bowery House!
