Good location, decent spot and generally ok value.
The staff at hotel Barlovento were very helpful, warm and friendly. However, there is very little,of any English spoken. No worry though, just bring along your trusty iTranslate app. The hotel happily includes a decent breakfast. However, sadly the breakfast is generally cool if not cold. Alas, the coffee and hot chocolate on offer are generally cooler rather than hot. Luckily, again the staff comes through and are happy to warm things up for you.

Anniversary weekend.
He hotel if fairly nice and updated. Its coveniently located close to the shopping areas, resurantes and the boca grande beach. The hotel rooms are comfortable but bathrooms are small, resturant has good food, the pool closes way to early and very small. Staff is very accomodating and friendly. I would stay again for the price is a good place to stay.

Small quiet hotel with great service
The hotel was small, quiet, had outstanding service, and was close to everything in Bocagrande. Plenty of staff available to assist with any of our needs. Amenities were typical for most hotels. They had a great buffet breakfast every morning, and the restaurant staff did a great job in attending to our needs. The building was older, but was well maintained. We understood that most of their guests a business people staying for longer periods of time. This meant that we did not even know that anyone else was even staying there. Very quiet and not all night parties. Only negative is that they were stingy with toilet paper. Never had more than one small roll in the room each day. A couple of extra would have avoided having to go to the desk to get more.

Easy access
overall the stay was good. Great location to the beach and nearby activities such as the city/fort and night life.

Affordable place to stay
Not a luxury hotel, but this hotel was fine for our two night stay in Cartagena. The bathroom was a bit tight and the AC did not get the room as cool as I would have liked, but otherwise I had no complaints. It's cheap cab ride to the old city and walking distance to the beach on Bocagrande.
