    great location!
The room (Iona) given on Hotels.com was behind the restaurant, with no windows. We opened the bathroom window to get fresh air (and natural lighting) however, people in the restaurant could see anyone using the bathroom. The room needs an entire deep cleaning from the walls to the carpeting. That room should not be rented out, unless there is an overbooking! It is not suitable for 3, in our case, 2 adults and one child. That said, the food (dinner and breakfast) and service was wonderful! The young lady (local girl, tall) in the restaurant was informative and gave great service. Breakfast was good and fresh! we loved the grapefruit slices!

    Good value 2 night stay
Overall good value for money. Room clean and adequate for our needs. Good evening meal and breakfast. Only negative is that toilets could have been cleaner.

A hidden gem of a hotel.
Tucked away some 24 miles South of Oban, the hotel is situated in a quiet beautiful location. The room was clean and well maintained and the staff friendly and helpful. The only minor issue we had was that my wives porridge for breakfast had large brown lumps in it as though the porridge had burnt and stuck to the bottom of the pan. On the other hand my highlander breakfast was excellent. Be aware breakfasts do not start until 8:30 so not a problem for holiday makers like us but could be a problem for people on business trips. Overall this was a very pleasant stay in a wonderfully picturesque and we would definitely return.

Overall a good stay. Food good but scallop starter and main a bit overpriced for what you got.
