Nice Place, good location, good price, staff were great
Good location. Friendly staff. Nice size rooms. Small but decent rooftop pool and bar. Nice breakfast buffet. Walls are extremely thin. I could hear all conversations and prayers coming from adjacent rooms very clearly. Also the hotel is being renovated. Hammering and power tools can be heard all day long starting at 10 AM. Not the place to stay if you like to sleep in.
We stayed for three nights at Ibis Style. Our overall experiences are fantastic, the hotel is decorated nicely and clean, the service is great, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the room is nice and clean. The sky bar is very nice (even better than some other high end sky bars we went) however, it could be improved during the day to have some beds for us to lie down for a suntan, we had to ask the staff to bring the beds for us. The location is good and bad, it's good that it's right at the night market but off the busy street so it's not that busy, the bad is the traffic to this area is just horrible and it will cost more for the taxi. The breakfast is just blah, it could be improved with the quality and food selection. However, this hotel is totally worth the money and would stay here again but maybe to try other Ibis in this city as well.
Close to the mall and the to the palace and Malioboro street.
Great location and great staff. However this hotel is being used a lot by local (domestic) tourism where people arrive by the bus loads and take up all the common areas with baggage and loud conversation. Breakfast is always a battle with the hoards who pile on everything from the buffet. It's commercial and business income for the hotel I guess, and probably not quite suitable for foreigners.
Low water pressure made shower disappointing. Towels were dirty looking and bath towels were non absorbing. Quality of food served at breakfast was sub standard. Service personnel were not proactive and you have to tell them what to do ( like removing used plates from crowded table) and what not to do( like going around with the broom and dustpan sweeping the floor when guests are having breakfast). Room was still not made up when I returned to hotel at 2pm.
A very convenient location, close to Malioboro, pubs, and public transport. Good massage at Shaziya, just a couple of doors down. Wasnt too happy with the breakfast and they refused to pick me at the train station, 15000rp by grab, not a big deal.
The hotel itself was nice....although not as nice as the website pictures suggest. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was good, cleaned daily. Shower design was terrible. Left water all over the bathroom floor after each shower, we had to put towels down to stop it running everywhere. View from the room as not so good. Breakfast was the only thing that was really dissapointmenting. Cold eggs and sausages, not much variety if you are western. Rooftop pool was nice. Buffet dinner up there was again very poor. Would we stay there again? Probably not.
Amazing hotel.. Near malioboro
I love the sky bar and pool, the views and ambiance is marvellous. The safety and friendliness from the staff are so welcoming. Despite the hotel is still upgrading, the layout and room condition are still durable. Will look forward to the upgrade and stay here again.
