Great hotel with awesome onsens
The onsens (hot springs) were awesome. The rooms were clean and very spacious. The dinner and breakfast buffets offered a lot of variety and food was good. The hotel can be a bit hard to find at first, so I'd recommend going during the day to find it. It's located at the bottom of the hill from the bus stop and will take about 10 minutes to walk there. There's a 100-yen shuttle that you can take to and from the train station. Note: the shuttle isn't included in the Hakone free pass.

Excellent Japanese-style rooms and onsen
Excellent hotel! We had a wonderful stay. The traditional Japanese-style room was spacious and had two sections: a sitting area near the entrance and a tatami mats area where dinner is served and futons are set up for sleeping. The room we booked had dinner served in-room. (However, not all rooms have this service; some rooms have a dinner buffet in the common dining room, so double-check which room you're booking.) Highly recommend getting the in-room dinner as a package; the food comprise the traditional Kaiseki course and had a little morsel of everything. Stay includes access to two hot springs (onsen), one in the hotel itself and one in a neighboring facility up the hill---the latter was much nicer and worth the walk. The hotel also has its own footbaths and a snack area for after your soak. Service was top-notched, as expected of any Japanese establishment. Most of the staff know English. Wifi was limited to the lobby though, and they didn't have adapters for the two-pronged plugs, so be sure to bring your own. Clearly, this place focuses on getting you relaxed and into vacation mode, so don't expect work-friendly facilities. To get here, take a 100-yen bus from Hakone Yamoto station.

Very Good8.0
pretty good
hotel room is clean and spacious, but the furniture looks old. a traditional Japanese dinner is served in the room. there are many types of food. some tastes better than the other. hotel staff is helpful. although the hotel is located in the middle of the hill, there is a shuttle bus service between hotel and train station. i really enjoy the hot spring there.

Highly recommended stay @ Hotel Okada
We’d a very enjoyable stay@ Hotel Okada. Spacious room with mountain views. Onsen was good. Near by affiliated outdoor Onsen was even better. Very satisfying Kaiseki dinner served in our room. Hotel is nicely located outside from the town to have the natural feel and atmosphere. It’s not perfect with little aged, cleanliness is not in the top notch. Otherwise, it’s highly recommended.
