I will stay here again!
Casa Encantada was absolutely perfect for my stay in Antigua. From the service, to the decor, to the cleanliness, it couldn’t have been better. I loved eating breakfast on the rooftop every morning!

Pretty, nice service, but thin walls
First, the good: Casa Encantada is very charming and sweet. Clean with lovely local decor throughout. The terrace is so pretty and we thoroughly enjoyed eating our yummy breakfast (included) up there. The best part is Augustina who took care of us in the morning at breakfast - she is delightful. In fact, all of the staff was very helpful and friendly. The sat in the small common area a few nights to get work done on our laptops and it was enjoyable as well. The bad: The walls are VERY VERY thin and you can hear everything from your room - even normal speaking voices. If you are a light sleeper, it's a real problem. Our room (#1) was also very small, and very dark. We found it hard to wake up in the mornings because there was virtually no natural light coming in. The location is fine - not too far from the center square and in a quiet neighborhood. The bed was also fine - on the firm side. Overall it was a pleasant stay, however, I think it's overpriced for such a small, dark, noisy room. I know there are better options in Antigua for the same price or less. I would not stay here again unless I knew there was a better room.

Great Small Hotel Option in Antigua
We spent three nights at Casa Encantada and really enjoyed our stay. This is a terrific small hotel with a very helpful staff. The hotel has two nice sitting areas - one inside and one outside in the courtyard. The hotel is in a good location just a few blocks from the central plaza. Lots of shopping, restaurants and points of interest are all within walking distance. The hotel staff was very helpful answering all our questions about the area and where to find specific things. And, the breakfasts were really nice. We had the option of having breakfast at Casa Encantada or their associated hotel on the next block which was a much larger hotel. We opted to walk over to the larger hotel each morning and were pleased to find that there was a full menu with numerous breakfast options to choose from. This hotel is a great choice if you are looking for a quiet, boutique hotel in Antigua.

Loved it!
Great place to stay - very small and friendly. Bed was comfy and fan in room was all the a/c needed. I stayed in room 10. Wifi and breakfast free. Good breakfast.
