Great hotel with balcony in downtown
I used to live in Chicago & brought a friend here for the weekend because she had never been(and I look for any excuse to come back). The lobby & restaurants are beautiful & modern. The staff was very friendly & check in was easy. Upon getting into our room everything looked great until we noticed many of our towels were ripped & had holes in them. While it's not a huge deal, for it to be such a nice hotel that seemed odd & cheap. Parking is outrageous, even for a Chicagoan, so we parked off-site at a different garage close by. There are many amenities that we didn't have time to use but seemed very nice. We absolutely loved the balcony which is a rare find in Chicago. The location is great, but it depends on what you are planning to do. It was a decent walk to mostly everything which I'm used to but my friend was not. It's also not really close to any train stops. Overall a great place to stay in the city & I wish we would've had more time to enjoy the pool & other amenities. If you're not planning to take cabs just be mindful that you will be walking a decent amount depending on what you're planning on doing. I would definitely stay here again!

5 Star Staff Yes - 5 Star Hotel...Debatable
We went during Labor Day weekend - and the staff was so amazing and really provided 5 Star service in the middle of a busy travel time. The views are great facing the park. The king room is a bit small compared to other luxury hotels - and for a luxury hotel a little surprised at the room maintenance including stains on the side of the bed skirting, random bolts under the TV?? This hotel also doesn’t provide robes in the closet...the bathroom toiletries are OK - no biggie but the room perks felt a little less premium. They make up for it with the hotel amenities - reccomend using the Business Lounge which has stellar breakfast & views. Not restaurant on the ground floor’s menu is OK - hit or miss on flavor & cocktails - beautiful presentation & service. The pool area stunning - wish they would upgrade the F&B there...: Otherwise awesome hotel in CHI- the staff really tries to go above and beyond for guests which really makes all the difference
