Lovely hotel, 5/5 if cleaning and food consistent
The room was well equipped; TV, kettle, various teas and coffee, sachets of milk and cream and a couple of biscuits added daily to the cleaned cups. The wardrobe, was large, but dark, there's no lighting to see inside the wardrobe, bring a little torch. Besides the darkness, it had a generous sized safe, big enough for iPads, cameras and more. There was also a mini fridge in there, which was big enough to chill a bottle of wine. The Wi-Fi is complementary and reaches to the rooms as well as parts of the outside terrace. The bed was very comfortable. The whole room was very well decorated, with quality fixtures and finishing. It was quite spacious as well. There is, in my opinion, too much piped music throughout the ground floor area, unnecessarily. The room was cleaned daily, although they completely overlooked hoovering the floor for a week and often missed cleaning used drinks glasses in the room. I picked up bits off the carpet most days and had to clean my own water glass some days. They were sporadic in replenishing the tea and coffee and cleaning the toilet as well. Other guests I spoke to had also noticed the haphazard room cleaning. The cooked breakfasts were very good and plenty of choice. We noticed when the chef changed as the standard of the cooked breakfast changed for the worse for two days of the week. The other five days were superb. The Llawnroc is under 5 minute walk downhill into the village, with a cafe and shop. I would stay again.

Enjoyable few days at the Llawnroc - challenging drive (in parts) to get there, but well worth the narrow lanes, well located for visiting the many attractions of that part of Cornwall.

Lovely quite location, if you want night life or shops it's not for you. But, if like us you want a comfortable, friendly, quiet place to stay close to a delightful little harbour, it's ideal. We used it as base to visit many local places and have no complaints at all.

Lovely hotel but no spa
Hotel is beautiful as are the surroundings. Not much to do in the local area but good for a quiet gateway (once you drown out the seagulls!) couldn't fault the staff or the bar or restaurant. Only disappointment was that the spa was closed due to staff shortages. Paying as much as we did for a spa hotel and not be offered the option of spa was a little frustrating. A lovely stay none the less and would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.
