Food service in evening very poor, staff more interested in watching "Top Gear". Food (fish and chips) were dry and overlooked, steak pie was very good! No atmosphere in the bar and chairs in the "lounge area had stuffing coming out of cushions. Breakfast also hit and miss, stayed for 4 nights/4 breakfasts and full English varied in content each day, eg no Cornish pudding on one plate some on the other plate, ran out of hash browns, one day hollandaise sauce over runny and watery next day very good. No glasses for orange juice one day no orange juice the next. Last day no hot water so we couldn't shower. No one at reception to report it, bumped into a maintenance man who came to check it out and report that the boiler gad failed. Overall disappointing for the cost, stayed in many B&B including boutique ones over the last year. No closet to hang clothes up, it was taken up by the fridge/safe and clothes needed to be 75cm or less to fit. Only 2 persons catered for in room when 3 booked in, this continued even after asking for additional cups/water/beverages etc. no room to put any clothes so had to put them on the windowsill. This wasn't value for money. The view from the room was great but couldn't appreciate it as all the clothes were blocking the view. Only a small area was hovered, next to the bedside cabinets were hairs and dirt. Asked for it to be cleaned but it remained the duration of the stay!
