GREAT GETAWAY!!
Lesly checked us in and was very kind and accomodating. We had a great time. We enjoyed The Crater experience a lot. Emma was awesome and took a lot of photos for us. Kids weren't crazy about the hot chocolate at The Milk House. They said it tasted more like hot milk than hot cocoa. I would agree but was ok w/it not being so sweet. We liked the caramel sea salt fudge. Very rich and sweet but good. We had the pool and hot tub to ourselves and had a really fun time even though we forgot our googles. We loved seeing all the deer grazing as we left. It was a successful family trip. Thank you Homestead staff!!

We were very dissappointed
We were very dissappointed we could not check in (1 hour early) prior to swimming in the crater. Also, we didn't get vouchers for the crater because we booked through Hotels.com! The pool & hot tub were out of order, we weren't informed of this ahead of time, and we were still charged a resort fee. The resteraunt had one person, who was doing his best, for service, bussing running food, understaffed is an understatement.

Bugs and unfriendly check in
Wouldn’t let us check in before 4 pm because they were cleaning the room. Then I overheard them check in other people early. When we finally got to our room it was full of bugs. The replacement room was smaller, on the first floor and the sliding glass door wouldn’t lock.

Decent Little Place.
Decent place to stay although there are places with better amenities close by. Renovations are nicer than before. No microwaves in rooms other than condos (maybe suites) or bigger which was weird ( there's plenty of room for them). No ice machines on property so you'd have to walk back to the main lobby and ask them to fill your ice from the kitchen. Staff are friendly and great. New Milk House coffee/ice cream spot only accepted cash due to POS system dependent on Homestead wifi connection and it was crashing their system running a card transaction. Best part about it is location if you're doing something nearby. Other than that, it's really a 3 star stay in a renovated room (king with sofa bed). Not too great, not too bad. Average at best.
