Truly quality 3 star hotel
It was a nice stay in Hanoi and luckily we chose this hotel and never feel regret. We still remember the way staff served us, always smiley and careful. The hotel was new, clean and spotless. Air-con and wifi worked well plus delicious breakfast. Much better than what we have paid for.

Makes sure you got a room with window
We booked a total of 4 nights at thaison palace. The first night, we told them we will arrive at 5am the next day, but the staff made a mistake and sold our reserved (and paid) room. They quickly checked us into their sister hotel (parkson) which was about 2 blocks away. The unpleasant glitch the first night was made up for when they offered to upgrade us to a family room when we returned to thaison the next day. The third night, it appeared that they were fully booked, so they changed us a room with no window. It corresponds to the category which we booked for, so it was fair, but the room was less than desired in a general manner. Our main problem with it was that it has a strong moulds smell. We didn't complaint because we were tired and we were checking out early the next morning. But the smell was so strong we both smelt mouldy after leaving the hotel the next day!!! On our last night, they again upgraded us to a family room ( with window) which was comfortable and ventilated. Throughout our stay, the staff were very friendly and did whatever they can in their ability to make our stay comfortable, which is why I would give it an overall 4 stars inspite of the glitches and the unconveniences of being asked to change rooms everyday. The comfort is a 2 in the room we got with no windows, and 4 in the room with windows. They hotel itself is situated on a quieter part of the old quarter, but still remains very accessible by foot everywhere.

Good value for money & really friendly staff
I stayed at this hotel for several nights both before and after a trip to Halong Bay so I got to see different rooms and they were all clean and quiet. The staff of this hotel is great! Young, friendly, helpful, etc. everything you could dream of :). I basically highly recommend this place which is super good value for money

Once upon a time a palace?
The Thaison Palace has seen its day and is in need of some renovation to return to its glory. Towels were old and tattered and the shower barely worked as the shower head was being held together with electrical tape. The bathroom was also very dark with only one small light. Also, the staircase in the hallway can be very scary as the railing is very low, so don't lean on it! Because of this, I highly recommend that you don't stay here if you have small children as they can easily fall through the rails! The room itself was nice with very comfy memory foam beds, crown molding and nice accents on the walls. So they have done some renovations but still in need of some updates for the prices they charge. The room safe is small and certainly cannot fit any size laptop. However, you can leave your larger valuables with the front desk. Wifi in the room worked well and always had a strong signal. The breakfast was buffet style but with limited choices. However, if you stay long enough they did bring out different items. I think the reason why they don't have everything out at once is because the breakfast room is very small and you feel crammed. The staff was the highlight as they tried their best to ensure our stay was pleasurable.

Thaison Palace Hotel is a highlight in Hanoi
We really enjoyed our stay at Thaison Palace Hotel. Room is clean, spacious and modern. Very good breakfast which was for free and on display from 6 to 10 Am. Spring Rolls and noodle soup are the best among. Staff were so friendly and helpful, especially the manager Mr. Joe. He was so kind to handle all our trip in Vietnam with excellent quality and cheap price. If you looking for tours such as Halong Bay on cruises or Sapa tour... you should ask Joe and we are sure you will be satisfied.
