lovely stay in a perfect position
Stayed here for 4 nights recently as part of a trip around different cities. The hotel room was lovely and clean, had a little terrace with a double door to let in some air but was also air conditioned. the bathroom was just big enough for what was needed. The bed was pretty comfy and plenty big enough for two people. The staff were friendly and helpful. We only had breakfast once as we went elsewhere after the first night but there was a nice selection of pastries and juices etc. The nearest metro stop is Ottaviano, maybe a 5 minute walk away if you take your time. St Peter's is close enough to throw a stone at and theres a great selection of eating places nearby. We recommend Amalfi pizza (to die for!) and Da Vito e Dina has beautiful pasta dishes. Lemongrass gelato is the best local gelato we tried and only a street away! Would definitely stay here again on return to Rome. Just far enough out of the hustle and bustle of the city centre but easy accessible by metro so you can be at Termini in minutes.

Moldy room
The lobby area that you walk into is beautiful, the breakfast is good, the room(s) we had were not! Because the hotel would be fully booked, we had our choice between a room that leaked water from the ceiling at the air conditioner vent or a room that initially we couldn’t get to lock but were shown by the staff that you need only throw your entire weight and force into slamming the door for the lock to latch as you left (I absolutely couldn’t do it, my husband had to slam it for us each time we came and left). We picked the door slamming room. Would that have been the only issue, would have given a higher rating but oh my gosh the mold by the window and in the shower was not good! The room had a slight smell as you came in so I knew there was mold somewhere but I was astonished by how much. It was mainly up high by the window so I believe that is why the smell wasn’t too strong yet. Aside from the mold the walls seriously need repainting, foot prints and scuffs galore. Not impressed at all with the quality or cleanliness of the room.

Great location, close to Vatican City and to the subway to get to Rome, although walking to some areas in Rome is doable, it would take about 25 minutes. The staff was okay, friendly, but nothing else. Unless you asked questions, they were not informative about anything, for example, a public transit strike that was happening. They just put a note at the front desk but if you did not need to talk to someone at the front desk,m you would have missed reading the notice. Rooms need a bit of TLC.

Clean hotel in a good location
This hotel was fine. It was clean and updated so that was nice. The location was pretty good. Visiting the Vatican from here was extremely easy but if you plan to visit Rome it might be better to stay somewhere on the other side of the river to easily visit both sites. My biggest complaint was that my room had no windows except a very high up skylight. The skylight lit the room up a bit but the dark walls and furniture without windows made it feel a bit claustrophobic. It wasn't particularly pleasant spending time in the room to relax. I don't think all rooms are like that though. If I had a room with normal windows I would have had no complaints.

Perfect location for trip to the Vatican!
I stayed there with my teenage daughter during spring break and chose that area so that I could quickly get to the Palm Sunday Mass. I was amazed at how close we were to the Vatican and Metro! Plenty of restaurants and shopping in the area too. The gentleman who worked at the front desk was an amazing help. He gave great ideas on sites to see, directions, and how to purchase train tickets online. He even loaned me an umbrella on a rainy day. I was very happy to find such an amazing deal at that location! Make sure you pay for a book a room with a window!
