The Blacksmiths Arms, Brampton
Very Good8.0
Very pleasant local country pub with a good choice of food. Village is very small. It is about an hours walk (3 miles) to Brampton but there is little there in the evening. except a couple of pubs offering food. We chose to eat at the Blacksmiths.

An absolute jewel in the village of Talkin
Seven of us stayed one night at The Blacksmiths Arms. We had spent the day in Ambleside and were making our way up to Edinburgh. The food was excellent, as was the ale. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I look forward to staying there again the next time we are in the UK.
