front desk night vs morning not same
this hotel is right beside airport. we were told transportation to airport was included in the stay. the night desk clear confirmed this when checked in. arranged for a ride 6am next morning. check out different lady at desk says no transportation is not provided and it will be 100 pesos to take you 3 minutes away. my husband tells her the night shift said it was included and the last trip had there it was included. but she refuses and says you want to go to airport you better pay money. what is that? you know when you have to be at airport at a certain time and you've made arrangements the night before with front desk you expect that to workout.

This hotel was in the same price range as other chain hotels close to the Veracruz airport where I have stayed before, but ten times nicer than those other ones.

Want to really like it.....but
Came in fairly late at night and kind of scrambled to find a hotel. Watch out for the address given on Hotels.com because neither Google Maps or my Garmin GPS ( with latest software) could find it. Use coordinates given (great idea by Hotels.com.) This is a really likable hotel. The white marble, real or fake, is very cool. As others have mentioned, the staff is not particularly kind. Oddly, it is the females on staff that are a bit rude. The room was small, but comfortable. The Wifi is pretty much non-existent, I saw 4 or 5 channels on the TV, which by the way, was a long way from being a flat screen as mentioned. The pool was filthy, very green. They tried to make me pay for a fourth night, when I had already paid for it via Hotels. The smaller up-graded single rooms are on the 3rd floor, with no elevator. It is noisy due to the busy road out front. The restaurant serves very good food at reasonable prices, the Chef seems to always be there, which is hard to believe because it is open long hours. He is really nice and happy to please, as is Charlie, the maintenance man (or manager, hard to tell.) Had to reset my key every day, not a big deal but a bit annoying when you are on the upper floors. The owner was around a good deal of the time, but didn't greet you, or even acknowledge you, which I found irritating. He is supposed to set the tone for the staff. Anyway, when they iron out some of the problems, get some customer service training, it will be very nice.
