STAY HERE OR ELSE> YOU'LL MISS OUT A LOT!
BEST FOOD I ATE IN PERU!!! This place was an amazing value and find. I'm only sad that the hotel is not owned by the locals. They put so much love in the place but it's owned by Europeans. STAY HERE!!! You won't regret it! I stayed alone and honestly wish I would of had someone to stay with me in my room. Go with a friend or partner. Hut has running water, cold showers, toilet, sink. 2 beds, mosquito nets (there wasn't any at all during my stay), town is safe and right down the trail, dog is sweet (I was alone and he slept outside my hut the whole time), tour guides are nice (learned a lot about medicinal plants on the hike), and overall the value is great. BRING CASH- they only take cash... There isn't electricity except for 2-3 hours at night in the main lodge. I didn't have problem though. My battery lasted. Honestly one of the top 3 experiences on my whole round the world trip. LOL I REALLY hope you stay at least for 3 days. Make sure to have Dennis the tuk tuk driver pick you up. He's great & I felt safe. If they recommend you stay in a hotel in the city because you land late please take the recommendation. Navigating the amazon at night is not the best. They recommended a great place for me when I landed at 10pm in Iquitos. I'm actually glad they recommended a place for me on the night I arrived late . I would have missed out on how amazing and beautiful the boat ride to the hotel is during the day.

Great to relax outside iquitos
Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, food was good, rates are very competitive. The accommodations are quite rustic, with some shared huts with a dividing wall and shared bathroom.

Unique Experience
Enjoyed my stay at the San Pedro Lodge. A very unique experience and one I'll never forget. It's very much away from it all and that's exactly what I enjoyed. Excellent food too.

Great experience to be in the Amazon, and enjoyed both tours that we did. The young girl, volunteer, that was running the place was very capable and doing a great job. She said there were usually two of them, but the other girl had left a couple of weeks earlier. That may explain why the hut we stayed in wasn't that clean, particularly the bathroom. Though it was so dark in there with just the torch to use it may be hard to see it needs a good clean. But the whole place and setting was great, the food was good and plentiful, and overall great value for money. Staff were helpful always.
