Make a reservation for dinner!
The location was extraordinary, staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, restaurant was very good. (Regardless of where you stay in Bruges, MAKE A RESERVATION FOR DINNER. One night we tried to wing it and EVERYTHING was booked.)

Bruges charm
A fabulous place to stay. You could not ask for a better location or more authentic Bruges charm. The breakfast was excellent, as was the view from the restaurant. The only thing that could have been better was the bathroom. The tub was huge, but had a sloping ceiling over it. I would make a point of staying here again.

Great - but not in the summer!
Beautiful building in an excellent location within central Bruges. Unfortunately, we were in town during the terrible heat wave (105 degrees!) and the hotel had no air conditioning. Also, the room was extremely tiny and you couldn't even stand in the shower because of the sloping walls. Staff was exceptionally friendly.

would go back
the room was nice and large, but felt it could have been a little cleaner. The location was amazing and the breakfast included was really good.

Absolutely beautiful, Charming hotel in the center of it all. Can't beat the views from the rooms and the restaurant is gorgeous as well. Service is great. Everyone is so nice. This is our go-to When In Bruges

Quaint hotel in good location.
Hotel is 400 yrs. old Was once a tannery. . According to employee, was purchased 3 yrs. ago and is gradually being refurbished. Ex. beds were 60 yrs. old and have all been replaced. Our room was on 2nd.[US 3rd] up under the dormers. Window overlooking canal was reached by 2 steps. Not a big deal to us. Bed comfortable. Room clean. Bathtub with handheld shower device was under the slanted roof and very difficult to use. We are small people so managed, BUT a tall or large person could not! Don't forget wash cloths! I left ours in PARIS as we hadn't needed them on our trip. breakfast is OK. Dining room is lovely, with windows overlooking canal. Very popular @ lunch and dinner with locals. We had a light dinner, one evening and food was good. Husband had a vegetarian pasta, me Shrimp croquetts. No real outdoor space, except 3 small tables/chairs on the front walk, overlooking the small square. We sat there had wine or coffee and enjoyed watching the people go by. Staff i friendly and very helpful. Vert good location to walk to various shops and interesting sights. Brugge is a walking town with cobblestone streets. be prepared with proper shoes!

Great location, small rooms
Great location, walking distance to literally everything in town but the rooms are tiny even by European standards. Room is basically a bed with a few feet of space on each side and enough room in front of it to walk past. With two adults and two suitcases it feels quite cramped. The shower also required sitting to use if you are over about 5' tall.
