Consistent for SH, a bit out of the way.
Very happy with the Business lounge on the top floor (Marriott Gold). If you have some time, take a walk or jog along the riverside esplanade. Overall, very good.

I made a last minute reservation, and was a bit harried by the time arrived, as I had just arrived from the US. The staff could tell that I was a bit tired and unhappy, because the reason for my last min reservation, is that the hotel I was going to stay at originally was overbooked and my reservation given away. Nice view of the river
Hotels.com calls it Marriott Riverside but all the signage says Marriott Luwan. I was afraid I was at the wrong place but Luwan is correct. I was working in the Xuhui area by Shanghai Stadium and it would have been faster (and cheaper of course) to take the subway rather taxis, traffic is awful in that area.
