Great property. Food options were plentiful and good. Our room was close to the shops, gym and restaurants which made it super convenient. The beach is never crowded, a bit nicer sand towards the left hand side. Relatively calm waves great for kids while we were there. Resort isn’t really close to anything walking distance though we did walk along the beach to brasilito (15 min) to watch the sunset one evening.

I had made two room reservations both in my name. Somewhere along the way there was only one reservation for two people instead of 2 rooms for five people. Not sure how this got messed up but it put me in a panic! The hotel staff adjusted and with a wait time put us in adjoining rooms as we had requested. If they had been full, I don't know what would have happened. Working with reservations in another country I made sure I had all my correspondence. The reservation numbers were changed from Hotels.com to the hotel's so it became confusing. I was glad I had all my emails on my phone.

We loved it here. Our room was updated, spacious, and conveniently located near the main pool/beach/restaurant area. The pool was huge and amazing (although no pool-side servers), and all the grounds are incredibly lush and well-maintained. The beach is beautiful as well, but there are no chairs, as it’s technically a public beach - you can ask staff to bring chairs down, but it’s not ideal. We got beach massages from the local women ($30) and they were wonderful. The food was good, although we wished the breakfast was more varied - the buffet was identical each day. Bamboo was by far the best restaurant. Making dinner reservations on arrival was a difficult, slow, and frustrating process - we were told many of the restaurants we wanted were closed on certain nights or already full. Luckily we met an angel named Tanya Campos who assisted and took wonderful care of us throughout our stay - she even popped into our dinners to ensure everything was going well. The staff here were really exceptional - you can tell they truly care about your experience. On our last morning, a bellman named Luis Marin stopped his golf cart just to ask how our day was going and if there was anything he could do to make our stay better. When we told him we were leaving shortly, he insisted on personally coming back to take us. He was so genuinely happy and sweet, and he is a wonderful ambassador of the service at the hotel and also the Costa Rican people. It was the perfect way to end our trip.

I really enjoyed this resort it was beautiful and relaxing for our girls trip. The drinks by the pool were my favorite Bryan's special is a must have & Dionicio's Dirty Monkey yummy! Purchasing floating tubes from the store for the pool made the pool days even more enjoyable. Bamboo the Sushi restaurant was our favorite place to eat.

The property was nice and clean. The pool was phenomenal and the pool bar staff exceptional. The room service staff was amazing but the front desk left alot to be desired with regard to hospitality. We didn’t get the room type we reserved. You must make a reservation for dining so make sure to take care of that as soon as you arrive. The ocean can be dangerous and there isn’t a flag system so pay attention. The wildlife is amazing. The shuttle service is exceptional. The food was a disappointment. The pizza was the best meal we had and we ate at all 6 of the specialty restaurants. I was not impressed. I’m hoping it was subpar because of COVID.

Covid-19 protocols were violated primarily by the carpool drivers. The waiters service at the Italian Restaurant is not kind neither elegant. Last day we ordered room service (breakfast), four plate and they send only 2 forks, we ask almond milk and they send regular. Finally they sent us free wine bottle (nice) but ridiculous tones of fruit (grapes and 12 pearls) ahh??? At the check out they hold me for more than 30min because a purchase made hour before my check-in (I was not even in the hotel). In summary, the hotel may look 5stars, the services is 4stars besucase small stupid mistakes.
