I found ants in my room
This was a risky hotel stay due to the reviews I had previously seen. When we got there it was fine, check-in was a bit annoying since we couldn't check-in at the downstairs machines and had to go check in with concierge which I didn't mind. When we got to our hotel room it was nice, comfortable and very retro UNTIL we found the ants in the bathroom sink. We found a total of 4 ants and we were completely disgusted. I went down to concierge and they were nice enough to give me a new room. Once I got to the new room it turns out it hadn't been cleaned. The bed was still undone, and trash hadn't been taken out. So once again I had to make my way downstairs and ask for a different room. Third times the charm! The third room they gave me was fine. Obviously this hotel needs to go through major renovations because their rooms are old and you see chipped paint, the bed is old, and overall doesn't seem like a quality hotel. I'm glad I only used this hotel to sleep and shower, I don't think I would be comfortable staying in that room much longer. I was also a bit grossed out after seeing those ants. The only other thing I have to complaint about is paying to have your luggage stored for you. They only take cash and since I didn't have any I had to go and withdraw from the ATM machine which also charged me a transaction fee. I've never had to pay to have my luggage stored so that was quite annoying. Overall I wouldn't personally stay here again but it was fine for the weekend.

Location is great. Space is a premium.
Great location. Proximity to Times Square, Theatre, and Rudy’s! Small room, but suitable because you don’t spend much time in it. Main lobby is self serve, any problems with check in you have to go to reception on 4th floor. Luggage storage robot was broken, they took our bags and stored them but of course the guy made up some story about how we had to grease him ($$$) in order to do so...

The room was small, kinda typical for a Manhattan hotel. It was very stylish, modern place, but there was no place to sit down and chill without buying a drink or buying something. If you got dinner and you wanted to eat dinner, there was no place. They need more of a seating area of lounge, other than the restaurant and the bar, and they do have the space for it, but they're not utilizing it. WiFi wasn't great in the room, I was kinda disappointed, you pay all that money for a hotel in Manhattan, then you cannot use the WIFI... It was great for shopping and entertainment.. Its close to a movie theater close to 8th Ave, it was close to time square, and where all the Broadway shows are. The food in that area is fantastic, anything you can ever want, after a while everything start to look the same, and you get tired and sick of it, you just want to go home.

I had a lot of service issues during my stay. While the folks at the front desk were very helpful, the rest of the hotel staff werent. I had 7 rooms booked for 7 days. 1. Some of the staff there are very rude. I received a package during my stay and the gentleman who brought it up for me wouldnt even speak to me. I asked him how he was doing. Nothing. I said thank you very much. Nothing. He spoke to other hotel staff while I was standing there. Just a rude person. 2. With my Do not disturb on my door EVERY night of my stay. My room was cleaned two days in a row. I spoke to the front desk the 1st time they did this. They said they would speak to them and it wouldnt happen again. The next night I arrive back at my room. They cleaned again with my DND on my door. Spoke to the front desk AGAIN. They called the housekeeping manager and for some reason they wanted to speak to me about it. Nothing to talk about. Dont clean my room if I dont want my room cleaned. End of discussion. Of course, he never contacted me about it. 3. Ice Machines never worked on my floor. Told the front desk. Nothing was ever done about it. 7 days, never fixed. 4. Only take $2 cash to hold your bags at concierge. Not ideal. Who carries $2 in cash? The $40 a night resort fee cant cover something so simple as this? 5. They wanted to charge me $20 per bag to hold them overnight, PLUS a $12 fee to use the cart EACH WAY. What kind of nonsense is that? Again what services does my resort fee pay for?

I stay here a Thursday thru Sunday, for New York Comic-Con, and the location is great the hotel was clean and the rooms were nice. I had a great view from my window. It was rainy so I couldn't really use the roof deck. The 30 dollars for early check-in was well worth it. I'll for sure stay here again when I go back in February.
