Ok hotel downtown
Room was ok, breakfast was good. Location was horrible and front desk receptions weren't very pleasant. Need to improve

excellent value for money
The Atlantico Business Centro hotel offers a fantastic value for money so I usually stay there while I am in Rio. I find the location very convenient. Quick access to the beaches using the subway. Close to Lapa and actually close to plenty of interesting places to discover in Rio. Also it can be accessed easily from both airports. For the main international airport there is a bus connection with frequent buses (ca 15 Reals) and from Santos Dumont you can now use the tram. The staff is really nice and helpful. The rooms can be a be tired and the airco a bit loud but I would not complain for the price I usually pay (ca $45 to $60). An extensive breakfast buffet is included. Definitely overall a great value.

Not a good choice for anyone. Forget about it !
Hated it. Small and dirty rooms. Soft mattresses. Breakfast ok but so crowded we decided to skip it. Just another bad Rio Hotel. Far away from the beaches in a very seedy and dangerous area of Rio Not to be recommended.

Terrible in almost every aspect.Mold everywhere !
Really never again. Not worth the money even if it was cheap. Room small and worst mattress ever. So soft you will get back pain. Terribly crowded breakfast room. Breakfast itself was good but the guests appeared to have escaped from a mental institution. Wow ,that was bad. Really Only good thing was Metrostation Cinelandia around the corner and that I never return to this "hotel"

your choice if you are cost conscious :)
As mentioned in the name the hotel is located in Rio downtown, so not close to Copacabana or Ipanema though the famous beaches can be reaches very conveniently in about 20 to 30 minutes with the "metro rio". Cinelandia station is just a few steps away (2 minutes walk). I stay very often at the hotel for short periods (1 to 3 nights). The bus (premium onminbus) from GIG (Galeao international airport) is a cheap and convenient alternative to taxi and it stops not far. For 14 or 16 Reals and a 30 to 60 minutes drive (depending on the traffic), so roughly 5 dollars, it's a good transportation for solo visitors. Rooms I pick up are cheap and rather basic. But for ususally 40 to 60 dollars a night which includes a good breafkast I can't complain. I find the beds to be the weakest part. Very basic ones. Way too soft. Not what I would choose. Possibly the more expensive rooms feature better beds? The air-conditioning system is unfortunately loud (but even in the "winter" time often a must have option). Over the years they have added free wifi. I noticed that the signal is weak in the lower floors and excellent in the upper floors (like 13+ floors). I always try to get a room in the upper floors. Also because it can be a pain to wait for elevators so at least having a room in the upper part allows you to use the stairs to go to the top of the building and enjoy some time on the terrace. They have a tiny pool there too... more for kids or even big kids as you can't swim.
