Rustic Cabins
The word "Chalet" translates to "cabin". Don't expect a fancy Swiss-style building. A realtor might describe these as "rustic", "charming", or "cozy". These small cabins include a small, basic kitchen with a stove, refrigerator and sink plus a few pots, pans, dishes and coffee maker(no microwave). We saved considerable money by eating some meals there. Our bathroom was tiny, about four by five feet. It included a toilet, sink and small shower. If you are a "large" person (over-weight - such as an average height female over 165 pounds or male over 210 pounds) you probably won't be able to maneuver well. All that being said, we enjoyed our stay and felt the price was very fair for the accommodations.

We thoroughly enjoyed our rustic stay.
Quaint little cabin Plenty of room, nice little kitchenette, great heater. Could really use a good cleaning. We were disappointed that there was no firewood available for the wood stove in our cabin. Nice quiet setting. good sweet rolls for breakfast. Be aware - a $100 damage deposit collected at check-in though returned to your credit card account later.

it is nice to have cottage style rooms to stay, but they need upgrade. there applienes are very old. the heater in the room does not work properly. it was good that we carry a portable heater with us. the taps in the shower also need a upgrade, when you tell the receptoinist about it they defend the situation . also they are missing the phones in the rooms.

This hotels is a nightmare
I gave 1 rating because there are nothing lower. it locates 100 ft away from a major highway (trans-Canada #1), and the traffic noise kept me awake almost all night. The floor carpet was so dirty that you felt your shoes sticking. The standup shower was so wearied out and water facet was not securely fixed and it was just fixed on the water pipe, and when I turned on water, it vibrated that I just worried if it would be broken. No room service, you need to get the fresh towels from the laundry room yourself. However, it says in its website 'Daily housekeeping'. I booked 4 nights, and when I checked in and saw the room, I requested to cancel the booking and have refund. The lady at the reception desk was so rude, and said I can't get refund because I booked through 3rd party (hotels.com). So I will try to get refund from hotels.com. It was a nightmare.

Rustic Cabins
No air conditioning, trains running all night and freeway noise. Old but clean. Probably not good for someone with allergies.
