Great place to stay
we weren't there much as we had such a busy schedule, but we loved the place, it was nice, staff was friendly, and it had beautiful grounds.

TERRIBLE!!!
Rarely do I give a real bad review but STAY AWAY from this place. Looks like they are preparing to close up shop. It is a dirty, overgrown abandoned looking place. No hot water at all - alot bugs in room (and we know its the jungle but this was bad) the restaurant food was terrible! bats flying at your head while your eating, frogs and lizards jumping around the dining room. No one was there - my kids were creeped out the whole time. we crashed one night and bailed at 7 am!

Overpriced, overrated
Costa Rica is overall overrated and this particular part of Costa Rica is the least interesting - everything (boottrip to see crocodiles; canopy; visiting the waterfall nearby etc) is overpriced - As to the hotel: it is mainly a place where large bus tours drop their tourists (in our case American teenagers) so expect the sudden arrival of masses -
