Fantastic stay in this very old building
This was fantastic place to stay as we were visiting friends in Welford which is 2-3 miles away. We were greeted warmly by Carolyn and shown to our spacious room where we could relax with a coffee/tea made with fresh milk and enjoy a piece of homemade cherry cake. The hall is very old, but the rooms have all the modern accompaniments you would expect, large scrren TV, ensuite, hairdryer etc. Breakfast the following morning was great. Would definitely recommend for both couples and the business traveller.

A very welcoming and comfortable stay with smashing breakfast of local produce. The Old Hall is exactly that, from the entertaining long driveway through the sheep to a building of historical interest that is as old as it looks; the expected sloping floors some low and/or uneven doorways but with all the comforts expected of a 21st century B&B including a fully modern ensuite. Although we were on the north side of the building nearest the road our very large room was remarkably quiet; even the odd cockerel and occasional gurgle from the pipework were not disturbing, and I have exceptional hearing. There is also a large guest common room adjacent to our bedroom which visitors might find they have to themselves. Limited facilities in the village but towns in easy reach.
