Nice clean and comfortable accommodation the owner was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was basic continental, suited us but not for those who want a full cooked breakfast.

It was one night but we did have a good time

Setting was lovely. The accommodation adequate for our needs. Breakfast disappointing. It was self service , no butter and no one to contact until we had virtually finished. Compared to our next overnight stay on our journey which was cheaper and offered full English breakfast without the extra cost we would have had to pay, it was generally disappointing.

A Hidden Gem?
Don't be fooled by the grandiose name or the number of AA stars that they have awarded themselves. I made no use of the pool or spa facilities, reviews of which make interesting reading, so I can only comment on the B&B. The place is just a big modern house with annexes out the back. There is no reception or any sort of signage and I was left feeling clueless as I wandered around outside trying to gain entry. When the owner eventually appeared he seemed friendly enough, though this was probably more to do with the fact that he was already nicely up on the deal. The room was nothing more than average and a little tired looking in places. I don't smoke which is just as well because the cigarette end receptacle on the wall next to the front door was already overflowing. The free breakfast was woeful . The hot water urn wasn't switched on, there were half eaten bowls of cereal on the floor which told me all I needed to know about what was on offer, the butter and jam were cheap and tasted like it. To top it all there up on the wall was an AA sign displaying four or possibly five stars, I regret not taking a photograph.

A pleasant place to stay.
We were greeted at the car door, shown to our room and breakfast options were explained. The room had everything we needed including hairdrier, iron, etc. The bed was very comfortable. Our only suggestion was a blackout blind.
