    Confusing and uncomfortable stay.
The hostel was very different upon arrival than what it looked like through photos. While it was not the most run-down hostel, it wasn't as clean, neat, or new as it appeared. There was only two co-ed showers which served multiple rooms — and they were both rather dirty. Bathroom stalls were also in the same condition. Our room, while appeared to be clean, was overly-heated and uncomfortable. The blankets and pillow were also so old and linty that I couldn't even sleep. During the middle of the night, there was a fire alarm (?) that rang incredibly loud on BOTH nights we were there, it was probably around 2-3AM. Expected much more.

Overall a very good hostel. I stayed in a private room on the top floor the main problem of which was that the walls were paper thin with no sound proofing. There was a bus load of Dutch tourists with behavioural problems staying on the same floor who spent all their time shouting and singing like they were part of a tortuous cabaret act. Very annoying.

ok still for that price(off-season review)
Night porter is a strong cool Hungarian. Efficient, serious, adaptible and working well. The day-time boys are more a bunch of usual students who are bored and act silly. Also spotted some dead insect bodies, nothing happened to me so i guess the job was done. The terrace bar-concert is absolutely closed in off-season, hence the low price. Please consider this aspect. A so-so place in off-season but ok still.

    Beautiful but loud.
I really enjoyed Casa de la Musica, it was a very pleasant place to stay, with a great atmosphere and awesome staff. However, I found the noise level of the club on the bottom level to be absurdly loud! It was hard to get a nightsense rest, especially on the weekend eveningso when the club didn't stop playing music until 3am! If you are young, this place is great with big rooms, and even the shared dorm rooms seemed nice, I myself splurged on a private room for my wife and I, and it was really nice. However if you are beyond 30 like myself, and want a quiet night, I'd look somewhere else.
