We were very dissappointed int he condition of the room/hotel for the price we paid. Mold in the shower, unclean hallways. Staff was not very friendly. Neighborhood was not very people friendly

cozy with excellent staff but not for vegetarians
The staff were very kind and considerate when there was a problem with my reservation (through They resolved it immediately. Warning: there is another Rotex hotel called Rotex Western and it's less than a half mile away. Don't get them mixed up when making reservations. Also, not a great place for vegetarians. Nothing in the restaurant but Korean bbq and the cafe doesn't serve food.

Umm... Yeah...
Well, where do I start? Firstly, we noticed the street noise from our room right away. Our window was right on Olympic Avenue, 3rd floor and we heard pretty much every sound. Secondly, one of my friends showered the first day and said there wasn't any hot water... Luckily, there was some the second day of our visit. Thirdly, we got in the bed and noticed there were stains on the sheets. Then, the service was lacking as well... I asked for an iron and some more towels and I had to call twice to get someone up here. My friend called about the hot water and she was told that they would look into it and call back... They never called. And then there were a bunch of little things wrong. Like, if you wanted to leave the hotel, you had to exit through the back door. The vending machine on our floor ate some of our money. Now, for what I enjoyed... They did have covered parking below the hotel. That was really nice considering parking is hard to come by in this city. That's pretty much it. I hope this review is helpful.

It was one of the worst hotel experience in my lifetime. From the moment I checked in, I knew I made a mistake. The hotel looks presentable from the outside, but inside of the hotel is really old and needs serious upgrade. The room furnishing is old and worn out, the mattress is very uncomfortable, bathroom facet had brown and green rust stains, WiFi is extremely slow (old dial up speed), the elevator from the underground parking lot does not operate after 9pm, but the worst part of my experience was the service level of the staff. The front desk clerk is beyond unprofessional. He was so rude and disrespectful that I got into a huge argument with him. I felt like I was in a dirt cheap motel. It got so bad that on the evening of the check-in date, I ended up leaving the Rotex Hotel and booking a room at another hotel in Korea Town. I did speak with the manager next morning and got refund for 2 nights stay which I originally booked. Be warned travelers!!!
