loved Zaragoza
A central base from which to walk about Zaragoza To good shopping and the wonderful museo at los Setios To stroll down to the Placa La Pilar And its very close to the Goya museo Also the enthralling Museo Toro... don't miss that. The Hotel needs a shoe shine machine And, so you don't get woken by the trams, ask for a room 5th floor, or higher. The Very contemporary décor is hot, in the lobby. Its in a very safe area, with restaurants and a ATM machine right next to it.

Frustration
Our room (#406) had ample seating. The windows were floor-to-ceiling, offering great natural lighting and a view of Calle de Coso. My wife entered the bathroom with its sliding glass door, and the door became unhinged, trapping her in the bathroom. I was unable to get the door back on track, so I called the front desk and a maintenance employee managed to pry the door open far enough for her to squeeze out (after about 15 minutes of incarceration). At this point, we were surprised but not upset. Upon moving our luggage into a new room (#709), we found it to have a couch affixed to the wall and one chair. The window was ceiling to the midlevel so that the view and lighting was significantly restricted. We went back to the desk and asked for a room like the first one. The personnel at the front desk continually insisted that all their rooms were exactly the same, so, rather than make a big scene, we gave up. During our stay, we noticed that, as other reviewers have also noted, the hotel has a foul smell in the halls and near the elevator. Further, both mornings, even arriving well before closing, the breakfast offerings were depleted. I ate the bottom scrapings of scrambled eggs both days. On the second morning, we had to clear our own table because all tables were piled with prior diners' dirty dishes and rubbage. The carpeting in the dining area was heavily stained. None of this is what one would expect from a 4 star hotel.

Excellent location and quite a classy hotel.
Very much enjoyed my 2 night stay. It is beside the main pedestrian street which ends at the big Cathedral Square which makes church visit so convenient. Lots of restaurants and shops along this pedestrian street. I will definitely book this hotel again on my next visit to beautiful city of Zaragoza, Spain.
