Great breakfast and grounds
Staff are very helpful and we had lots of space: 2 bedrooms, sitting room and a large bathroom. The down side: our rooms were half below ground, which made them seem dark and closed in. The grounds are very attractive. Breakfast is beautifully presented and bountiful. WiFi is considerably better than most places we visited.

Good hotel, good value, good restaurant
Nice pool but really uncomfortable sun loungers and next to no service (e.g. for drinks or snacks). Restaurant is good but quality of service was inconsistent. We ate at the hotel for a couple of nights. There are also a couple of places to eat just a few minutes walk from the hotel. We did walk into the centre which only took 15 minutes, but it isn't worth the walk! The room & balcony were big & the design means that you're looking out on the jungle & aren't overlooked by other rooms which was good. We booked all our trips via the hotel & that worked out well. The staff at reception were really helpful in sorting out our trips. For Brits it was much better value if you paid in US$ (cash). The only exception was that we pre-booked a taxi via the hotel to be picked up at the Airport at Foz & that didn't turn up. We got a taxi from Foz Airport & that was actually cheaper than the pre-booked taxi would have been.
