nice hotel. poor maintenance and service.
The facade of the hotel looks very impressive, however guest service is poor at best. There is a door man but he rarely opens the door. There is no greeting from hotel staff and when you need something they will talk to each other in Hindi instead of addressing you. The room is comfortable and quiet when the balcony door is shut. The balcony door does not lock however and one could easily step onto my balcony from the adjacent room. The in-room safe was not working properly. The showerhead was not working properly and you need to at and flush with the wall to shower. The drain is slow and the water quickly pools the entire floor. I expressed this to housekeeping to no avail. Same day Laundry service is expensive, the same price you would pay at a five star hotel. Laundry wasn't returned until after I called for it. The laundry was returned wrapped in a newspaper and still wet. The clothes were not cleaned well. When I expressed my concerns to the front desk the only solution offered was to take the wet clothes and return them after another 24 hours. After being caught in a two hour downpour I returned to my hotel and was unable to take a hot shower. I called the front desk and was told after some time the hot water would come. Thirty minutes later the water is still cold. When I spoke to them they said they shut the hot water off to save money during the warm months and I would have to ask first to take a hot shower. Guests shouldn't have to ask to shower in a three star
