Rooms very small and cramped, especially twin rooms which had no windows. The double room was so small you could barely get down both sides of the bed! The weather was very hot and the air conditioning was useless. The heat was unbearable. We asked for a fan but none was provided.The towells provided were small and very thin. The lift did not service the second floor so we had to carry cases up the stairs. The hotel is not in the centre of Tampere and a bus/good walk takes you to the main street. On the plus side, the beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms were very clean. continental breakfast was good.

Very good stay, quite charming independent hotel.
Stayed in hotel on the first floor rather than the hostel. Great compact room and ensuite. Very clean and light. Good mattress and slept very well. Common area with kitchen facilities and ironing board really and convivial. Breakfast buffet across the road at Tullin Sauna was very good and varied. Location was just a few minutes walk from train station. Tampere is very easy to navigate and everything is really within walking distance. Would definitely recommend as alternative to larger chain hotels.

faulty locks on room door and bathroom door. almost got locked out of my room/inside the bathroom multiple times. hardly ever anybody at reception if I needed help. check in was on the opposite building and I had to drag my suitcase over the entrance steps.

Meet interesting and well traveled people
If you don’t mind sharing with other travelers and enjoying their company this may not be for you. I found the experience welcoming and different. Even met a chap who was cycling the continents. Wow a bike and couple off satchels. Hat off to this young man. If your staying for more than two nights would recommend trying to get a single room.

Good hostel but needs some basic improvements
Good size rooms and kitchen; reception area is across street from rooms; close to train and bus stations; lack of hot water; refrigerator smelly with people’s abandoned food; kitchen needs more/better resources so people can adequately wash their plates/cups, etc. (pots, utensils, cutting boards grimy/greasy)
