Noisiest hotel ever!
It was the noisiest hotel room ever. We had a room facing the street and had to keep the windows open because the room was so hot. The noise from the people and cars never ended. Need to put fans in the room.

A normal hotel if you are not looking for perfection.

Great for location only
This hotel is basically upstairs from several restaurants and night clubs so beware of noise at night. The location can't be beat as it is about a 10 minute walk from the train station and also very close (5 min) to the main square/market in the center of Bruges, where you want to be. The room however, left a lot to be desired. The giant door sized windows opened and that was nice. But the "double" bed that i got was just 2 single beds pushed together. Also, there were no bed side tables or art on the walls. The worst part of the room was the bathroom, which was like a big plastic pod that had been plopped into the room. The shower was tiny, there was no hair dryer and everything was plastic and weird. It was as if there was portable bathroom that was permanently fixed. Very strange. I would not stay here again if there was anything else available in the same price range. OH! And the internet sucked. No wifi in the rooms, only in the public area near the reception desk, which closed at midnight. I had a great time in Bruges, but the accomodations were far from luxurious.

Mediocre stay ruined by incompetent staff
The hotel itself was slightly better than hostel quality, but the guy that checked us in was very nice. We had a 5 am wake up call both mornings we were there from the drunken stragglers heading home from the bar singing. There was also black mold in the shower. Most annoying of all though, after I thought I had pre-paid through hotels.com, upon checkout the lady at the counter informed me that I needed to pay, but their credit card machine was broken. Instead I had to go take out my daily maximum of cash from the ATM (no lunch for me!) in order to pay the bill.
