Stay Away
To sum it we left a day earlier although we had paid for two rooms one of which being a suite. We had to get rooms in another hotel. The room even the $500/night suite had substandard furniture and fixtures. Refrigerator was empty, no water in the room, no iron, smelly bathroom of which we complained to no effect. Restaurant was not aircondioned with 90F hot and humid weather, it was impossible to sit there and eat. Food was obnoxious and way below standard. Jacuzzi would not heat up and had cold water. Overall a very poor experience, was relieved to get out of there. This hotel might qualify for a two star hotel at best.

Best Location in Manual Antonio
We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. They upgraded us to a nicer room for free since it was my husband’s birthday. Overall the stuff is very nice but the hotel is so outdated! Breakfast is not good. Furniture are very old. The location is the best if you want to get in and out of the national park easily!

Definitely recommend!
super convenient location, literally right next to the entrance of Manuel Antonio National Park. the included breakfast was delicious and the staff was courteous. the hotel is lovely, by costa rican standards (which must take thin walls into account- i heard children running in the outside corridor and faint footsteps upstairs). wifi signal is weak during high traffic times (i.e. at night/mid-morning). i didn't get to spend time in the downstairs pool, but the upstairs (adults only) pool is nice and quiet, and a great place to do some poolside reading. if you're driving in, you should be aware that the road leading up the park (and thus the hotel) is small and quite congested, and the hotel's parking lot, while somewhat spacious, is still small compared to the number of users (i.e. try to avoid driving in if possible).

A Fabulous Place to Stay!!
We loved the Hotel San Bada. It was in a great location, close to the jungles and beach. The hotel was being renovated on the first floor but did not interrupt our stay. The pool on the 6th floor was wonderful as was the dining area there. We would definitely recommend staying there to anyone!!

Great Location, OK Hotel
The stay at San Bada was OK. The room was adequate. The pool was great, especially the kids loved it. The best feature about the hotel is that it's at the doorstep to the natural reserve. The food at the hotel's restaurant was atrocious. Better and much more fresh eating options are a short walk away at the local restaurants.
