OK Hotel that needs updating
It was an OK stay. The website says 7 min from universal, which is inaccurate. It's unsafe to walk to universal studios park from the location. Its a bit of a drive and up a pretty steep hill. We ended up driving once we saw the route. The hotel bar blasted music at night and it was disruptive. The hotel room itself was very dark, half the lights didnt work and the floors were dirty. The keys kept deactivating, making it unreliable to get back in the room. I likely wont stay here again, it is probably OK for quick weekend, but there are nicer more accommodating hotels in the area.

The rooms have adjourning doors with gaps at the bottom so you hear every word and noise from your neighbor.

Not what it used to be
The woman who checked me in was welcoming and helpful, but the hotel itself was rather a mess. I used to stay there frequently, and was surprised by the state it's in. There used to be a stylish open divider to separate the bed from the desk and sofa area, but now there are just marks on the wall and floor where it should have been, The sofa was missing. The paint and floorboards were scraped, chipped and dirty. About half of the lightbulbs and none of the electrical outlets worked. There was a coffeemaker with no cups and a microwave propped up unevenly at a strange angle. Everything was dusty. Pillows were old and lumpy, and the only decoration was a stained orange bolster pillow on the bed. In the bathroom, the built in light around the mirror was the only light in the room, and there were broken tiles and missing caulk. I was only there for one night, but it was a sad experience compared to the comfortable place I used to look forward to visiting.

Hotel is a WRECK!
The rooms were nothing like they advertise. I ordered two rooms & neither one was as it was supposed to be. No couches like pics showed. Under construction with no spa as advertised. Staff were not helpful we asked for a cot for my son was told I was next they would bring it up when she had help. Then a couple hours later was told they ran out of cot's. Then the night manager came up with one & couldn't explain why they told me they ran out. The pool is in the garage in the corner & not much bigger than a hot tub. Room door only shut after slamming it multiply times. Save your money and go somewhere else!

Terrible room/ plumbing/ customer service
The room was not clean, our toilet was clogged and they offered to have a plunger waiting for me at the front desk- then the shower wouldn’t drain. I asked for a different room and was denied the asked to speak to a manager and I’m still waiting - it’s been a week - I am still trying to get a refund and am being ignored- DO NOT STAY HERE
