Nice quiet hotel very near to Shinjuku station
Very good and quiet location near Nishishinjukugochome metro station and some 20 minutes walk from Shinjuku station. Nice clean room with washing machine for clothes. Reasonable price simple breakfast and some good cafes in the neighborhood. Friendly english speaking staff.

Clean and efficient
The room and bathroom were decent sized. The bed was firm, but comfortable. Everything was clean and felt new. We didn’t use the laundry machine, but there’s one in the room... bonus! The man at the front desk even offered us free detergent. The area had many restaurants and about four Family Marts (within a couple of blocks).

good hotel, quiet location
location wasn't too close to good transport links but hotel was good otherwise.

Hotel was fair - nothing to compare it to since this was my first trip to Japan. There is a station down the street which connects to main Shinjuku Station, very convenient. A lot of convenient stores down the street. Lawsons, FamilyMart, 7-11. Room itself was sufficient in size, again nothing to compare it to. However, I will note that the air quality in hotel is poor. There is no rotation of air in/out of the room. A/C just circulated the same air. Had to take allergy medication while I was in the room and was still sniffling, sneezing and blowing my nose all night. No issues when I went outside. Staff did not understand much English; however, use of body language is good - was able to understand the general directions given.

Best Value hotel
Basic 2-3 star hotel by "American" standards. It serves its purpose for value. 15-20 minute walk from Shinjuku station. Convenience of many Japanese "fast food" options and convenience stores in the immediate vicinity. Coffee and access to computer and free wifi on-site. Bonus - In unit washer/Dryer and 1 free detergent pack. Room is small but also included microwave, hot plate, and clothes pressed. Great for longer stays if you are by yourself.
