The convenience of free laundry in Ikebukuro
This is your typical modern Japanese hotel. Yes, the rooms are small, but they're modern and clean. Yes, this hotel is a bit of a farther walk than some, but there's a lot of great restaurants in the area. You get the idea. The bed is a tad bit hard and the pillow (singular) could stand to be fluffier. But consider this... Free breakfast, not substantial but enough to get you going in typical Japanese fashion. And uniquely, free laundry, right from the convenience of your hotel room! Detergent costs a meager roughly $0.30 from the front desk or nearby convenience store and the combination washer/dryer saves you $$$ over the 5-star hotels and the time and hassle of having to find a Laundromat. It's a small room but when was the last time you stayed at a decent hotel with a washer/dryer? That's priceless. Hope you enjoy checking out Ikebukuro and the rest of Tokyo!

Convenient Location + Laundry!
Very convenient location near the Ikebukuro station. Simple free meal at breakfast and clean room. The bonus is the laundry/dryer in the room! This is a small room but this is normal for hotels catering to local Japanese customers. If you need a big room, book with a western hotel like Hyatt or Hilton but also expect to pay much more.

Gem in an interesting area
The hotel was very nice. The rooms are a great size and they offer breakfast (for an additional fee). They also have quality wireless internet. I could connect to my PS4 at my house through the WiFi using my PS Vita. The hotel seems to be located close to the district where people try to offer you "massages" but this is easily avoidable by taking the main road.

It was located reasonably close to a lot of places in Tokyo (20-45 minutes). Breakfast left a lot to be desired (however, it was free with provided tickets), but overall the staff and room were very nice. Would come again.

Cozy hotel with good room amenities near hub
The room in the hotel is clean and bright. It has a fairly big bathtub, if bathtub size is of concern. The included washer/dryer takes a while because of the long drying time. It is not the quietest machine either. The room's sound insulation is quite good, but you can still hear people talking in the hallway. The hotel is close to the underground area connected to the station, but is a few stations from a convenience store. If you want to do laundry, staying here would be a very good option. Otherwise, this is still a solid choice but look around for other options.
