Theatre trip
Fantastic service. Extremely friendly and welcoming. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very good plenty of choice and the full English was piping hot and very tasty. It was situated 5 minutes from the centre of York. We went to the theatre which was a 5 min walk. The staff are fabulous. We had a drink in the bar before venturing out, enjoyed the atmosphere so much we went straight back there after the theatre. Would definitely stop there again. Would recommend it highly if you wanted a stay in a pub that made u feel like you were a local. Brilliant stay

Spot on!!!
Loved staying here as it was a 5 minute walk to York Barbican and a 10minute walk into the centre of York. Very helpful and pleasant staff who couldn’t do more for you. Breakfast was great and the big bonus was the parking!! Thanks to all and we will return.

Solid stay - value for money
Wanted a place to stay near York Center on a trip home from Scotland - the room was a little run down over a pub but it was clean, well enough equipped and not too loud - breakfast was fine as were the staff. Parking was okay but had to move the car in the day. Walking distance to Town Center was fine and there is a Waitrose nearby too.
