Wish I could give the hotel higher marks
This hotel is luxurious in every way (70+ stories), with incredible views from every room. But the food and related service are seriously wanting. We ate in Dekkadance the first night, which offers an extensive buffet ($60 per person) and the service was terrible. Dirty dishes on the table not picked up by staff, water not refilled, etc. It was not just our server as we noticed similar situations at adjacent tables. The food itself was OK, not exceptional, which I would have expected from a 5 star hotel. We ate breakfast in the same restaurant the following morning and received very good service, but the staff has been tipped off by our room number to provide it. The waiter even told us so. The next night we ordered room service (what are we gluttons for punishment?) which was a pizza and a vegetarian stir fry. The food was satisfactory, but not particularly warm. We had to wait over an hour for it. The reason we ate consistently in the hotel was because of the coronavirus since we are in the demographic most likely to suffer serious consequences if we caught it. Otherwise we would have eaten elsewhere after the first day. I would like to praise the registration staff and concierges who offered great service.

    Great Stay
My fiance and I had a wonderful say at the Intercontinental Hotel DTLA. Our view was amazing and our service was exceptional. We highly recommend.

    Best View!
The hotel is very pretty. It has a beautiful rooftop bar with spectacular views that has a $10 cover during the week but free for hotel guests. There are a few restaurant choices and two nice bars. The rooms are well equipped with USB and power ports, a room key slot that turns on all the lights in the room. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms have a nice size shower and tub and a door separating the toilet area. All in all a very nice hotel and centrally located with a nice staff!

This hotel experience was by far one of the best I’ve ever had. The staff were excellent and the ambiance & amenities were 5 Star.

    Nice rooms, but terrible layout!
Hotel can be confusing and quite a trek to get from your room to the street/valet. The lobby is on the 70th (ish) floor, so upon check in, you have to haul your luggage up to the top floor, only to haul it back down to your room. Once you are in your room it is nice. When it came time to leave, we had to take 3 elevators to get to our car! One to go down 2 floors, transfer elevators, then get to the lobby and take the last elevator to get the the garage. The staff are friendly, but due to the layout of the hotel, I cant say we will be back unfortunately.

Super nice hotel, one of the best ones I've stayed at. Rooms are extremely clean. Pricing is a little high but well worth it and the views are amazingggg! Will definitely be staying here from now on.

Nice hotel, don't eat from the mini bar
We had a very nice time and enjoyed the hotel. Only complaint is that we opened wine from our mini bar and it was absolutely awful. We couldn't drink it. It was also way too much money!
